March 19 through 22 was a great time to spread the vision about Wycliffe and recruit in Louisville KY-lovingly called Loovul by locals. About four months earlier, I received an invitation from Rev. Jimmy Wilson, Dean of the 2007 J.L. Roberts School of Religion to present at the School and at Simmons College in Louisville, Kentucky. It was the first time for most of these vibrant Christians to hear about the work of Bible Translation from an African American-someone like them. I was stretched as the topic was actually one that Computer Specialists like Kevin usually deliver but two individuals expressed interest in joining Wycliffe. On the second evening, over 1600 people heard a five-minute clip of the "Time is Now: A Call to African American Christians" video.
At Simmons College chapel, students and staff were amazed at the facts I delivered about Wycliffe's Vision 2025 (to see Bible translation begun in every language that needs it by 2025). Simmons College leadership invited me to return in the Fall recruit among Missions classes.
